SHONA CAMPBELL

I qualified from The University of Brighton in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and completed Junior post-qualification training at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust, before taking on various NHS Senior posts around the South East and in London. I have worked in Private Practice since 2008, predominantly as part of a team of Physiotherapists based at Sussex County Cricket Club.

In 2012, I completed a Masters degree in Advanced Manipulative Therapy from the University of Birmingham, gaining membership of the MACP as part of the qualification.

I have worked closely with Orthopaedic Consultants throughout my career, as a Senior Physiotherapist on a busy trauma ward, and overseeing rehabilitation from elective surgery, as well as using my Physiotherapy knowledge and skills to help prevent the need for surgery.

I have worked in sports for over 18 years, from school to Professional level, assisting teams on tours both in the UK and overseas.  I have a particular interest in youth sport and the effects this has on growing bodies.

I have been using Acupuncture as part of my treatments for many years and find enormous benefits from integrating this with more traditional physiotherapy methods.

I have taught Pilates since first training with the APPI in 2002 and now regularly teach classes and 1:1 sessions, often to compliment recovery from injury.
