SHONA CAMPBELL

Shona qualified from The University of Brighton in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and completed Junior post-qualification training at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust, before taking on various NHS Senior posts around the South East and in London. She has worked in Private Practice since 2008, predominantly as part of a team of Physiotherapists based at Sussex County Cricket Club.

In 2012, Shona completed a Masters degree in Advanced Manipulative Therapy from the University of Birmingham, gaining membership of the MACP as part of the qualification.

Shona has worked closely with Orthopaedic Consultants throughout her career, as a Senior Physiotherapist on a busy trauma ward, and overseeing rehabilitation from elective surgery, as well as using her Physiotherapy knowledge and skills to help prevent the need for surgery.

Shona has worked in sports for over 18 years, from school to Professional level, assisting teams on tours both in the UK and overseas.  She has a particular interest in youth sport and the effects this has on growing bodies.

Shona has used Acupuncture as part of her treatments for many years and finds enormous benefits from integrating this with more traditional physiotherapy methods.

She has taught Pilates since first training with the APPI in 2002 and now regularly teaches classes and 1:1 sessions, often to compliment recovery from injury.
